JR in Africa

This in any way isn’t a new project by JR. However I though it would be nice to remind to the world what a humble person he is.

JR owns the biggest art gallery in the world. He exhibits freely in the streets of the world, catching the attention of people who are not the museum visitors. His work mixes Art and Act, talks about commitment, freedom, identity and limit.

New promo of VNA issue 12

I’m feel very happy and satisfied about this one. It took some time to put together this material. Amsterdam, Poland north to south trip, meeting lots of new people, working in extremely hot conditions and George’s finger injury. The latest issue of the magazine is packed with some quality content. We feature Roa, Dave Kinsey, Mr Jago, Kevin Cyr, The Yok M-City and more. If you are interested in getting a copy go to VNA online shop.

STREETFEST is back

This Saturday 3rd October I have the pleasure to shoot video for STREETFEST again. After my last video shot on HV30 turned out fairly ok I’ve this time decided to go to town. I’m going to use three cameras.

1) Canon 400D positioned above the crowd and hooked up to my laptop to produce time lapse of the entire event.

2) Canon HV30 handheald to produce a natural home video look.

3) Canon 5D Mark II for all the fine footage.

Well, at least this is what the plan is. Let’s see how much of it actually works out. Watch this space!

StreetFest 2009 Video

StreetFest is a new breed of festival where the onus is on promoting and merging creative talents. StreetFest is taking it back to the ‘old skool’, by blending the spirit and soul of those nostalgic rocking block parties, with creative flair and modern trends. StreetFest actively involves visitors in the day’s events by creating an interactive experience!

Beautiful Losers

Beautiful Losers film trailer from beautifullosersfilm on Vimeo.

Beautiful Losers‘ follows a loose-knit group of like-minded and creative outsiders in the 1990s who found common ground at a little NYC storefront art gallery. Rooted in the do-it-yourself subcultures of skateboarding, surf, punk, hip-hop and graffiti, these individuals created art that reflected the lifestyles they led. The documentary speaks to the collective memory of the 1990s and sheds new light on those that were unbeknownst to mainstream America, but in the end, left an indelible mark on the worlds of fashion, music, art, design, film and ironically, sports.

Shutter Art

This amazing masterpiece sits next to Farringdon Tube Station. I have no information on the author or who it portrays.

Just a party

I made this video for launch of VNA Magazine’s issue 7. As per usual there were art, people and free beers present. And then there was a blackout and the party continued on the streets.

I hope you enjoy it and please, buy the magazine! It’s really worth it.
