GET SOME 005: 14.08.10

Yes kids. It’s happening again. GET SOME organised by my friend Ouzo is one of the most progressive nights at the moment. He introduced my to the likes of Skream, Joy Orbison, Mount Kimbie and Joker way before they surfaced into the wider audience and for that I’m really grateful. I can’t recommend this gig enough. Check out their blog to get the feel for it.

STREETFEST is back

This Saturday 3rd October I have the pleasure to shoot video for STREETFEST again. After my last video shot on HV30 turned out fairly ok I’ve this time decided to go to town. I’m going to use three cameras.

1) Canon 400D positioned above the crowd and hooked up to my laptop to produce time lapse of the entire event.

2) Canon HV30 handheald to produce a natural home video look.

3) Canon 5D Mark II for all the fine footage.

Well, at least this is what the plan is. Let’s see how much of it actually works out. Watch this space!

Get Some Party Next Month

My friend Ouzo is spinning a night at East London’s Gramophone on 17th October 09. And knowing his sick taste in music it’s going to be heavy.

Londinium music video finally out

I was really looking forward to see it. I created background flats of the skyline for the video.

Enjoy!

Music video of the day

This is ‘This Momentary’ by Delphic. Camera panning, idea and the location remind me of another video for Simian Mobile Disco’s I Believe. However this one was shot in Pripyat, a town near Chernobyl where the the most serious nuclear power station disaster took place in 1986. The ferris wheel can also be seen in Call of Duty Warld at War game. Till this day the levels of radiation in the area remain seriously high and access is very restricted however a number of farmers still live there and refuse to leave the land they’ve always lived on.
